The belt is an important part of the engine gas distribution system, which is connected with the crankshaft through the camshaft. With a certain transmission ratio to ensure the accuracy of the intake and exhaust time. The timing belt is replaced periodically. It is recommended to replace the belt when the vehicle runs 60000 km.
The belt replacement steps are as follows:
1. Drive the car to the two column elevator station and lift the car.
2. Remove the engine base plate.
3. After the bottom plate is removed, the generator belt can be seen. Remove the exposed generator belt.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley and the crankshaft position sensor beside the crankshaft pulley.
5. Put the car down and remove the auxiliary water tank. This makes it easy to remove the engine bracket and bolts on the side of the belt.
6. Loosen the engine mounting bracket and engine foot glue to facilitate the removal of the belt and the bolts of the protective cover. Before loosening the engine mounting bracket, use a jack under the oil pan to prevent the engine from falling.
7. Remove the bolts of the belt protective cover, take down the protective cover, and see the toothed belt.
8. There are 2 camshaft pulley, 1 crankshaft timing belt shaft, 1 idler pulley and 1 timing belt tensioner in the belt.
9. Remove the belt tensioner first, and the belt will be removed smoothly. Do not remove the idler pulley, because the belt tensioner pulley and timing belt idler pulley must be replaced when replacing the belt.
10. Align the marks of camshaft pulley and crankshaft pulley.
11. Install a new belt, belt tensioner and idler.
12. Install the belt protective cover, engine mounting bracket, engine foot glue, engine crankshaft pulley, generator belt, base plate, etc.
13. Start the engine, check the running state of the engine, and finally complete the test run. |
